Some cricketers have tried their hands at acting like Brett lee but have tremendously failed at the box office. Some players have gone a step further marrying the Bollywood divas letting the showbiz industry influence them on a personal level.
Both Bollywood mega star like SRK and Sachin Tendulkar is considered to be Gods in India and hence the public have a great deal of expectations from these celebrities. The most popular and appreciated coming together of the two worlds was during the IPL match when an iconic pair of veer Zara was Put head to head against each other. There was a constant mention of this movie –Veer Zara during the match so that it could work as a magnet to pull the audience and get them to watch the match on Television.
It is very hard to decipher between Cricket and cinema as which one is more popular among the two. Both of them ride on each other’s brand value. The cricketing events often disturb the filmy business so the film makers don’t prefer to clash any of their movie releases during any cricket tours like IPL or World cups. Even all the entrepreneurial companies have started giving equal weight age to the cricketers and actors.
In my opinion it is a good thing to increase your dimension of work and earning money for your livelihood. Playing cricket for your country isn’t a joke and they should concentrate on their performance in the cricket field and make sure that their career doesn’t get compromised.
