Kyun Uthhe dil Chod Aaye is produced by Shashi Sumeet productions. Though the narrative of this daily soap is set in 1947 Lahore in the Pre partition era. It was marketed as “Tune into this show to know about the old days you never saw”.
The casting, costume design, the hair and makeup, the set design has been done on point by the creative team. The bond between the senior members of the cast is evident on the show but the young leads lack the chemistry between them specially the two onscreen pairs. The audiences cannot connect with them on an emotional level.
Vashma played by Anchal Sahoo , Radha played by Pranali Rathod and Yash Tonk who plays the character of Brij in the show are my star performers. I feel the story line is little weak in certain tracks of the show as it fails to show the genuine lifestyle of 1947. The makers are concentrating more on making it interesting for audience by spicing it up by adding drama into the show the team always try make the show reach the number 1 spot in the TRP race.
The director and producers should try that the story structure stays true to the essence of 1947 as promised during the promotions of the show or else the show will be in danger of going off-air in case of low TRP as with all the television shows.
