Ishq par zor nahi is a daily Soap directed by Nidhi Jha and the narrative/concept is by Sudhir Singh, Harneet Singh & Nikita Dhond. The idea of the episodic saga is the most used in the Indian Television industry but the treatment of the show is tried to be different. Each character in the program comes with their individualistic mindset. No one is trying to forcefully change the other person’s thought process about Love, Family, Sibling bond, Problems and Relationships.
Now let’s talk about the characters which stood out for me:
- Ahaan Vir Malhotra: This character is played by Param Singh. Ahaan is a total family person with traditional values and deeply hurt person because of his past which would be revealed in the story later. Responsibility is his priority not love. Will Ahaan take the path of love and change his ideologies for the woman he falls for in the story.
- Ishki: Akshita Mudgal plays the role of Ishki. Though Ishki has lost her parents and is broken inside but she still believes in falling in love. The drunken scene of Ishki was performed by the actor so well and kudos to the writing team as well. Akshita for me was the star of the episode aired on Friday 14th of May.
- Rajat Verma as Kartik Malhotra. He is a fun character to watch with a sweet face. He adds comic relief to a highly dramatic situation. Kartik is a huge support system to his cousins Ahaan and Sonali Malhotra.
- Mayank is played previously by Akash Gupta and presently played by Shekhar Gill. Though both the characters have done a good job with Mayank. Akash Gupta has managed to highlight the negativity in the character better. The audiences can feel the pain and the urge to take revenge from Sonu( Ahaan’s sister ) more prominently in the eyes of Akash Gupta and not Shekhar Gill.
