Nagin 5 is a supernatural fantasy thriller. It is the fifth installment of extended Nagin series. It is created and produced by Ekta Kapoor. Nagin 5 is directed by Ranjan Kumar Singh.
The story of Nagin 5 starts off with the fight between the eagles and the snakes for the Nagmani. Akesh the prince of the eagles falls in love with the supreme female snake but she ends up killing him for killing her partner and other members of her clan. The Adi nagin is born as Bani; Hridhay (her lover) is born as Jay and Akesh is Veer. A ban finally finds Jay and wants to complete her love story with him in this birth. She shares a love and hate relationship with Veer while the destiny has planned something else for her.
Nagin 5 brought a unique story of an eagle and snake falling in love unlike the previous seasons. This was the very reason it attracted so much attention of the audience. Sharad Malhotra as Veeranshu Singhania and Surbhi Chandna as Bani Sharma was a unique pairing as well. The chemistry between the two was organic, natural and effortless.
Now let’s talk about the performances in Nagin 5 that I fancied:
- Dheeraj Dhoopar as Akesh: he was the member of the group of eagles who were the strongest but he wanted to give up everything for his one sided love with the Adi Nagin. He did not care about the two clans being enemies.
- Sharad Malhotra as Veeranshu Singhania. He plays the reincarnated version of Akesh the prince of the eagles who is full of swag, attitude and good looks. A bad boy with a good heart. Sharad managed to hide himself completely in the skin of the character and the public fell in love with Veeranshu Singhania even though he is introduced as a villain.
- Surbhi Chandna as Bani Sharma Singhania. Surbhi has the ability to mesmerize the masses with her acting skills as well as her beauty. I enjoyed every bit of her screen presence in the show.
- Parag Tyagi played the role of Balwant Singhania. Parag portrayed the evil streak in the satiyug as well as the kalyug with so much ease in the character of Balwant. Parag and Sharad looked so comfortable with each other that it seemed to be real father and son. Parag’s dialogue delivery was very strong as per the demand of the narrative.
