Bollywood industry is the most famous in India and abroad. It makes the most number of movies every year. The audiences and critics like the movies alike due to various elements like story, well written characters, twists and specific actors who the viewers like in a particular character. The audience tends to associate the actor with the character for a long time to come. It sometimes happens that the movies have to go through many changes before it is ready for release.
Here is my list of Top 10 scenarios that saw actors being replaced:
- Sushant singh Rajput was the first choice for role of the spy in Romeo Akbar Walter. I would have loved the movie with Sushant as the lead. John Abraham wasn’t a bad replacement at all.
- Ayushmann Khurana replaced the star kid Harshvardhan Kapoor in Andhadhun. Kapoor had few disagreements with the makers that couldn’t be sought out between them so he had to leave.
- Akshay Kumar replaced Randeep Hooda in Kesari. It was directed by Anurag Singh and starred Akshay. But initially the project was meant for Randeep and he had also started preparing for it. He was taken out of the movie due to the changes made in the team of the makers of the film.
- Tabu replaced Rekha in Fitoor. Fitoor is a 2016 film directed by Abhishek kapoor. Tabu played the role of Hazarat Jaan Mahal so effortlessly. Rekha was the one who was offered the part first but she wasn’t comfortable with the character as she saw glimpses of her past.
- Gracy singh was replaced by Vidya Balan. Gracy as Chinky was lovable in Munna Bhai but Vidya had taken her place in the sequel. The audience would have loved to watch what happened after Munna and Chinky’s marriage.
- Kajal Agarwal was replaced in the sequel of Singham by Kareena Kapoor. The reason for the replacement in the movie stays unknown to the audience till date.
- Kartik Aryan was replaced by the makers of Dostana 2. Due to some fight regarding various aspects. Kartik had to walk out of the movie. Rajkumar Rao was the actor who was chosen in place of Kartik.
