Barrister Babu is an Indian social drama television series. The show is produced by Shashi Sumeet productions. Pravisht Mishra plays Anirudh Roy Chaudhary the male lead of the show. The female lead is Bondita. Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni plays the role of Bondita. The show is set in the pre independent India.
The storyline revolves around Anirudh Roy Chaudhary a London return Barrister who returns to India. He finds a lot wrong rituals taking place like child marriage, sati etc. He stands up against the marriage of Bondita a child who is forcefully being married to an old man. He gets married to the child in order to protect her from the evil practices. The story of their bond starts from here on.
Now let’s talk about the performances of the show I liked:
- Pravisht Mishra as Anirudh Roy Chaudhary is a treat to watch. I love the way he supports Bondita in every walk of life. He wants her to study and become a Barrister so that she could raise her voice against societal evil.
- Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni as Bondita. She is a little girl but she is very curious and witty by nature. She tries very hard to balance both Tradition and Education. The interactions between Bondita and Anirudh are very interesting. These interactions have a life lesson hidden in it.
- Rishi Khurana as Trilochan Roy Chaudhary. He is very strict and close to God and Traditional beliefs but Trilochan gradually develops a very cute bond with Bondita.
- Dev Aaditya as Saurabh Munshi. He is a very good friend to Anirudh. I love the simplicity of the character. I loved the character so much that I had tears in my eyes when Saurabh dies in the show. On the personal level I wanted Saurabh to stay and watch the budding love story between Saurabh and Sampoorna.
