Toofan is an upcoming Indian Hindi language sports drama directed by Rakysh Omprakash Mehra. Farhan Akhtar plays the role of Aziz Ali the boxer. Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal are in the supporting role.
The trailer opens with pooja and Aziz having a conversation regarding a letter from authorities lifting the ban. In the few minutes of the trailer the audience gets the idea that the main character has done something wrong in the past.
The trailer also gives us glimpses of the life journey- the ups and downs. Pooja (his girlfriend) and Nana Prabhu (coach) are his biggest support system all through it. It would be really interesting to watch what happens at the end of it all. Will Aziz be able to win the inner as well as outer battles?
Now taking about the characters that I am looking forward to:
- Farhan Akhtar as Aziz is a good choice as the actor has proved his versatility in various roles he has taken up in his career span.
- Mrunal Thakur as Pooja shah plays the ever supporting girlfriend who becomes his wife in latter half of the movie. Pooja is very soft spoken and very sweet but we see that she can be very strong willed towards certain things when it comes to Aziz.
- Paresh Rawal as Nana Prabhu. He is a very strict coach and wants all boxers to stay true to the spirit and essence of the game. Nana and Aziz get into a conflict situation because of ideals of both the characters don’t match regarding certain things.
