Shershaah is an upcoming Indian Hindi language biographical war film. It is directed by Vishnu Vardhan. It stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles.
The trailer opens up with the voice over of Vikram Batra glorifying the life of a soldier and the country being the utmost priority of these officials. Batra further discusses the beautiful location with his boss.
The trailer picks up pace quickly into the subject matter to show the tension between the Indian soldiers and terrorist from Pakistan planning a brutal attack on the Indian army. It also showcases the speech from the then Prime minister Mr. Atal Bihari Bajpayi to give the masses the sense of realism in the movie.
The trailer is mixture of life instances of Vikram’s personal as well as professional life which gives the idea of her personality. The life of the Kargil hero is full of inspiration from the very start. He had Family, Friends and Fiancé waiting for him but he selflessly decided to give up his life for his country. Dimple Cheema is a very important character in the film which made up a very crucial part of Batra’s life. Dimple is a strong woman who decides never to get married and stay loyal towards a relationship when the other person has died is highly commendable.
Now talking about the performances in the film:
- Sidharth Malhotra as Vikram Batra. It would be exciting to watch whether Sidharth would be able to bring out the respect and emotional connect that people feel towards the war hero in the film as well. There will be constant comparisons between Sidharth and Abhishek as the latter has also played Vikram Batra in the movie LOC Kargil.
- Kiara Advani as Dimple Cheema. The actor has managed to physically transform into the traditional Punjabi woman from the 90’s era but her grip on the language seems to be weak as the accent appears to be made up.
