Bhool bhulaiya 2 is an upcoming Indian Hindi language supernatural horror comedy film directed by Aneez Bazmee. It is a standalone sequel to the 2007 film with the same name. The second installment features Kartik Aryan, Tabu, Kiara Advani and Rajpal Yadav. The script is written by Akash Kaushik.
The trailer tries creating the feeling of nostalgia by using the same name of the witch and similar tune and the set up for the title song as well but fails to build the emotional connect with the new movie. A romantic equation is shown in the film between Kiara Advani and Kartik Aryan which wasn’t necessary at all considering the genre of this cinematic piece.
Now let’s talk about the performance Bhool bhulaya promises its audience.
Kartik Aryan was a bad casting choice to fill the shoes of Akshay Kumar. Aryan tries too hard to act like Kumar and does not provide anything different that would be remembered the audience.
Kiara Advani is continuously being compared to Vidya Balan. Advani has got a not good track record with Laxmi the horror comedy film. She also appears the same in every film and not show any range as an actor.
I am looking forward to watch Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra in the film.
The first Bhool bhulaiya was suitable for its time and performances from various senior actors became the USP of the movie helped uplift the content in every sense and made it enjoyable for the viewers but coming up with a similar concept in 2022 is a risk the makers are taking.
