The Screenplay is the final outcome of a continuous process of writing and rewriting which reaches the screen for public viewing.
To appeal to the masses, a script goes through the process called “Green
Lighting” which involves many people who read and re-read plenty of scripts and decide on which ones can pass the assessment and award a pleasant movie-going experience for the fans as well as be beneficial
to the producers of the film.
Every assignment – a Film or Television show has to go through the tough test of the Box-office success and TRP respectively.
There are many elements in the process of their making before the same is exposed to the judgment of the critics and determining their verdict. However, in the present era, where various platforms for entertainment available to the viewers are abundant, the competition is growing and the
success is harder to come by. Therefore, elements involved in the process of an entire project need to be
very precise.
There are three major factors deciding success or failure of the task at hand, namely; Producer, Director and, Screenwriter. The Producer and Director jointly come up with the idea/concept. A screenwriter
constructs the storyline which forms the spirit of an image in the minds of the makers. The writer takes the liberty of handling the Narrative, Characters, Screenplay, and Dialogues to further enhance the original perception.
Good scripts have a considerable effect on the creative direction and emotional impact on the readers of the same which further renders into the better movie-going experience as well.
All three factors work as a team to celebrate the coming together of these elements outshining into a beautiful piece of art that speeds towards making it a profitable affair. On the contrary, when the filmy
outing isn’t a success, the whole team should be ready for facing the implications rather than a single person/department being answerable for the failed attempt.
