Can the Cast of a film make or break the film in terms of success?

Film making is the process by which a film is made. Film making includes a lot of other sub processes like Screenwriting, Casting, Shooting, Sound recording and editing to reach to the point of showcasing the cinematic piece to the audience.

Casting is defined as a part of pre production process for selecting a certain type of actor, dancer, singer or extra for a particular role or part in the script. The auditions are conducted regularly and the casting director picks the actor who is apt for the part. The casting team as the director of the film sits together what is the requirement of the script

Casting is an important factor of film making process. Maximum of the director’s vision can be switched to reality by an experienced actor so finding the right talent at the right time can do wonders for the film.

There are few things taken into account while choosing the correct actors for the characters in the script like the talent, look, the ability of the actor understand what the makers want from him/her and delivering it to them to their satisfaction.

A brilliant cast is always remembered and praised by the masses for a long period of time. Some of the characters worth remembering in my list are Leonardo Di Caprio as Jack Dawson in Titanic, Aamir Khan in PK, Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani in 3 idiots, Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani in Munna bhai MBBS, Prakash Raj in Singham, Ashitoush Rana in Sangarsh and Dushmann and finally Sadashiv Amrapulkar in Sadak.

Audiences pay the ticket money as they hope for an emotional connection with the film. I believe to make a film a commercial success there are three major factors responsible for it

  1. A good script with storyboard to visual insight to the script.
  2. A well written character.
  3. The right actor playing the actor which perfectly fits for a particular part of the script.
