Television has been the most affordable mode of entertainment for years. Through television the common people can connect to their favorite television and Bollywood actors. I am no different; I have been a huge fan of both the industries from a very young age.
In this article I want to discuss some of my favorite performances from the television industry.
- Rajat Tokas as Prithvi Raj Chauhan, King Akbar and Emperor Chandragupta Maurya. In all three roles the actor tries to get into the skin of the characters. The viewers feel that they are watching the actual character onscreen and not Rajat.
- Iqbal Khan as Angad Khanna from Kaisa pyar hai is still fresh in my memory. The character arc for the male protagonist was different for a 2005 daily soap. Iqbal picked up and highlighted each and every nuance of the character.
- Mohit Seghal as Samrat Shergil- Mile jab hum tum. Mohit is not my favorite actor but Samrat was the one who gave me false expectations from boys.
- Mohsin Khan in the role of Kartik Goenka. He has played this role for more than 6years now. He effortlessly charms everyone watching the show. He has evolved so much as an actor from the time of his debut.
- Mishkat Varma as Kabir kumar/Singh Rathod. Kabir is happy go lucky person. The journey from being strangers to lovers is appreciated by the audience. Mishkat is such a natural performer that you tend to get involved with the tale of Nisha and Kabir.
- Nakul Mehta as Shivay Singh Oberoi. I love Shivay’s attitude towards the world and the love, concern and protection for his family.
- Bindusar effortlessly played by Sidharth Nigam. He is an arrogant prince in front of the world, hiding all the pain inside in his heart and he does not recognize love as he thinks it can make him weak. My favorite scene is when Bindusar breaks down in front of Dharma in drunken state.
- Sharad Malhotra as Veeranshu Singhania is bad boy with a swag to turns into a good person for the woman he loves but with a twist of him being an eagle.
- Paras Arora plays the role of Dr Promod Chotala. Though the narrative is set in city of Rohtak Haryana. In the male dominated city he is one who belongs to a progressive family and supports his lady love in all situations thrown at them.
- Aneri Vajani as Nisha Gangwal/Kumar/ Singh Rathod. She is bold and independent girl with strong family values. She struggles with coping up with the heart break until she meets Kabir and gradually falls in love with him.
- Surbhi Chandana plays the role of Anika Singh Oberoi and Bani Sharma/ Singhania. As Anika she is a bad ass girl yet takes care of her brother and the family after marriage. She is the woman who knows how to handle Shivay. While as Bani is an Adi Nagin. My latest girl crush who stole my heart with her perfection in every aspect of the role. The chemistry between Sharad and Surbhi was total fire in Nagin 5 as well as Bepenah Pyaar
- Parvati Seghal as Komal Sajjan Singh. Parvati has done a commendable job. In the first season Komal is carefree loud character and in the second season she becomes calm and composed which she displays it with ease. kudos to her for doing this with so much conviction.
