The Bollywood industry is well known for making a lot of movies every year. The film industry has a reputation of giving grand launches to the new comers opposite big stars like Salman khan, Sharukh Khan and Aamir Khan.
If luck is by their side these newcomers become successful irrespective of the fate of their first film. There are some unlucky ones that struggle to survive even after their movies fair well at the Box-office. Then there is third category where being a star kid doesn’t guarantee a fruitful career in the showbiz industry. There should be a healthy balance between star power and talent.
Here is the list of actors whose entry in Bollywood was Short-lived:
- Sneha Ulal: The actress was a look alike of the beautiful Aishwariya Rai Bachchan. She had dreamt a career just like the Bacchan bahu. She got to work with one of the three Khans in Bollywood in the very beginning of her career.
- Pratik Babbar: Pratik Babbar was very promising in Jane Tu ya Jane Na, but he couldn’t find a place in audience’s heart in his future projects.
- Himesh Rashammiya: A Singer/Composer translating into an actor is bad for audiences. The movies he featured in were a major failure at the Box office proved that he could stick to the music industry.
- Upen Patel: Though Upen Patel ticked all the boxes in department of looks which is generally considered a criteria for suitability in Bollywood. The debut film worked but it was like one time profit for him. It could not pave the path for a career full of achievements.
- Preeti jhangiani: The Mohabbatien girl who compelled everyone to fall in love with her but she couldn’t maintain the same charm in the industry.
- Imran Khan: He was the main lead in Jane Tu Ya Jane Na. he was Nephew of the great Aamir Khan but he cannot handle so much and his acting skills was pretty average.
- Bhoomika Chawla: The debut film was worth remembering and the small role in MS Dhoni was good but her career graph couldn’t go up and was limited to tiny roles and Cameos.
- Sooraj Pancholi: Sooraj is a star kid and Salman khan helped him debut in Bollywood but he couldn’t sustain the big launch because he was involved in Jiya Khan Case.
- Sonal Chauhan: The movie Jannat gave her name and fame and songs were really beautiful but her stay in films was short term affair.
- Zareen Khan: She was a doppelganger of Katrina Kaif and her debut film was with the same man as Sneha Ulal but she couldn’t make it big in Bollywood and her body of work is limited to multi starrers like Hate story 3, Housefull 2, Aksar 2, Wajah tum ho and 1921 among others.
